Hey, hey guys. Wow, what can I say? I've just got back to my car ready to drive home after today's event and, my gosh, it was one of my, if not the favourite event that I've been to so far. It was phenomenal from start to finish. When I first started my travel business, it was five years ago. We was in a global lockdown. I was working it around my corporate job. We couldn't travel. I was looking after my two-year-old, I was studying and events was not a thing in this business. When I started, I learned how to build my business on social media. I had no experience whatsoever. I had no social media presence. I didn't know what I was doing. I used to cringe my head off massively. I took all out messy action in the beginning and I didn't fully understand the power of events until just a few years ago. And I remember having a conversation with someone in my upline and I was a bit like I didn't really get it. I was like, oh, why do we need to go to these events? There's so many. And she said at the time she went the business is. Events like that is the business. That's how you get to know your people. That's where you get all the best training. Your business is made at events and I was like, right, okay, and it took me a while to get my head around it. And now we've gone from like turning up to an event with like, say, 100 people to today being 3 000 people in the room in london. It was phenomenal. There was over 200 of our team there. Um, my personal team was about 30 40 of us and it was friggin insane. And just the recognition that you get for, like all of your hard work, the knowledge that you get in teletravel, where there are host agency as well who we book travel through, and I can't wait to do a live, probably sometime I was gonna say tomorrow, probably not tomorrow, maybe monday, whatever. At some point I'm gonna do a live on like just all of the exciting things that are happening in tele travel, because I never talk about our amazing travel product that we have access to. And, oh my god, today's event was just sick.
Speaker 1:I saw my friend as well, my friend leah lockett, someone who I've known since I was like 13, 14 years old. We used to have horses together. She used to sleep at my mum's house when we was in school and, yeah, never did. I know that in our 30s we was going to be building this business today. She got recognized for half a million a year earnings. That is what she's earning. She's earning more than half a million a year from this business.
Speaker 1:Within five years she got presented with her diamond, a double diamond diamond ring. She got her rolex watch that you get when you become a free, a five-star director in the business, and just seeing someone who I personally know, who I've known since a young age, seeing her just go from like where she was, which was working in um property in a full-time job she had to ask for time off. As adults I used to see her like every now and then, just like pottering around, like on nights out or whatever, or at like parties, like it was someone who always had an entrepreneurial mind but she just didn't have this business. And when she saw this business and then I saw this business like literally, it just makes me so excited for everything that's about to happen within this team within this year, and if you are in the team and you've not yet been to one of these events, you need to come to one of these events. I had a couple of people who messaged me this morning like um, one tan, amazing, like I absolutely love tan to bits hopefully she'll watch this live back if she's not already on here and she did like a typical me, like I would have done back in the day, and didn't look at any of the trains or anything like what was going on to get her here to the o2 where the event was in london, and she literally messaged me she's like I'm gonna be so late. Is it even so worth coming? I was like, seriously, even if you only captured an hour of the event, it'll be worth the journey. Thankfully, she like got all of it. She only missed like about 20 minutes or something.
Speaker 1:At the beginning there was someone else in my team who's been like on her, like like in bed poorly. She's like been really, really ill the last few days and I was like isla and I love isla, by the way, and again if you're watching this or if you're watching it back like hats off to you for coming. But I knew that she would not regret coming to this event today and I was like, just get yourself there, even if you have to drag yourself out of bed, get yourself to this event. This event will change your business and it was just insane. Um, we saw loads of recognition, we had incredible training from top earners in the company. Like I said, we got to see all of like what's been going on behind the scenes. We've been tele-travel loads of exciting things launching which I am going to share in a live in the coming days. Um, like I said, people getting the rings, the rolexes, the line of directors, by the way was crazy, actually crazy. I'm going to share that over the next few days as well. And, yeah, I just thought it was freaking insane. So, guys, like my story with this business, if you're not bored of it already, and listen to it loads of times.
Speaker 1:I started this business five years ago. My background was in corporate, had no experience of building a business online, had no experience, um, in network marketing, had no experience in the travel industry literally brand new baby five years ago, had no clue, not like I said, we was in a global pandemic, couldn't travel anywhere. Two weeks after I paid my investment to start the business and I completed my travel training, we went into lockdown. Planes were grounded, no one was going anywhere and I still had this business and I thought you know what? Nothing worse can happen to a travel business than not being able to travel, and I just looked at the bigger picture. I looked long term something that more of you need to do, by the way. I looked long term and I thought, if my business my travel business gets through a global pandemic and get through anything, thankfully I stuck it out. I was loud and proud.
Speaker 1:Through that time. I was like taking messy action. I didn't know what I was doing. I was just shouting it from the rooftops. I was still booking travel for future travel, even though people couldn't go anywhere, and ultimately, what actually happened was, within two years of being in this business, I retired myself from corporate. I was at the same company for 13 years. I was earning a six-figure income and I retired myself to have complete time freedom. I managed to do that not only around a demanding corporate job, also around a two-year-old.
Speaker 1:When I first started I'm now a mum of two I was also studying from home. I was doing 25 hours a week of pure studying and I was definitely the person who, on paper, did not have a lot of time to do something like this. However, one thing I did have was a burning desire to change my circumstances. I genuinely felt chained to my desk. I had to show up a certain way in the office. I couldn't stand the office politics. Like there were certain individuals who used to grind on me and I don't know if anyone can relate to that. Obviously it was professional and stuff in work at the time. But there was people like you are not my people like I can't believe I got to sit here for hours on end in these meetings listening to you when I could be building my own dreams.
Speaker 1:Deep down I always wanted my own business. I actually studied business studies at school, which is just ironic because, like the people who teach you business studies at school have no business teaching you business studies at school. But I was like, oh my god, I want to be a business owner, I'm going to learn business studies, learn business studies in school. So from a really young age I wanted my own business, but I had no experience. I didn't know how to go about it or what I wanted to do, and how I came across this business was completely by accident. I actually saw a friend of mine posting about it. I signed up off the back of a 10 minute phone call. I was not one of them, people asking every single question under the sun. I didn't want to know every single ins and outs of what it was about. I thought travel, money, income, flexible, like no targets, what have I got to lose? And I went in all guns blazing and, like I said, retired myself after two years, helped almost 500 people achieve their goals with it as well. To this day, it's 490 active agents within my organisation and we are just getting started. It was announced today. Within our whole community, there's actually 123,000 active advisors participating in the 20 countries that we're opening. New markets have been launched or are going to be launched imminently as well. Again, that got announced today by the CEO of our host agency host agency. Again, I'm going to share that in coming days, but I just wanted to share my excitement.
Speaker 1:Guys, like I'm not even set off home. I've got two and a half hour journey home and I'd rather be on here talking to you, telling you how amazing this freaking event was. Um, a few people have been in my dms recently like asking, like, what it is that it's about? Like, what is it that we're doing? Obviously, getting back to people. Um, if you are waiting for a message from me, bear with me. I'm going to be back in my dms tomorrow. Realistically, tonight I'm probably not going to respond to you. Tonight I'm going to be driving home, I'm going to have my can of red bull I need to get fuel on the way and I'm just going to enjoy the peace and quiet of not having any kids in the car with me. I'm gonna get up bright and early looking after my friend's dog from 7am. I'll get back to you all then. Um, ev can't wait to hear in our chats. Honestly, ev, it was friggin phenomenal. Um, our second biggest event is actually happening. Um, next month in atlanta. Again, there's gonna be 3 000 people at that event in atlanta.
Speaker 1:And when I was quite new in this business, the conventions so bear in mind, a company convention is where all people from all over the company go to the convention. A full convention for the full company was 1500 people at the beginning. That's how many people made it to convention. To have 3 000 people at a success summit weekend on a Saturday in London is frigging crazy and it was sold out. Guys Like, people still tried to get tickets and they couldn't get tickets.
Speaker 1:For those of you who are in the US, like or Jamaica or wherever you're based and you are in the business already. Like, go into your back office. Obviously, I'm in the UK. Go into your back office and see where the events are. There's loads of events happening all of the time and I'm looking forward to seeing so many of you, um, in the US. So, um, I was really excited. Yesterday I actually booked the room for Orlando conventions. I've got my ticket booked, the room. Um cannot wait to go over and see, like all of our international team, um, and those of you who are going to monaco as well I'm going to be in monaco in june, so hopefully we'll be able to cross past way before convention.
Speaker 1:But, yeah, it's just amazing that this business has created like so many friendships. Went for a meal later at later, went for a meal earlier after the, after the event with my team, a few people who could come to the wheel. There was like 25 of us and like loads of those people I had never met before and we just clicked. I was like, wow, you are my people, these are my people. This is why I love this business, because you choose your family, you choose who you're spending your time with, when you're going to work, every single day and you're speaking to people who like, yeah, you might be like an easygoing person, you might on with everyone, but they're not always going to be your cup of tea in this business genuinely like my team, are my cup of tea. Like I love all of my team, I get on with everybody.
Speaker 1:It's just amazing and there's just so many people who I've not even had the privilege to have even met yet. Um, karina's on here, she lives in LA. We've got Ev, who lives in Buffalo, and I've not even been to those places yet to even see my team. I've got a team in the Caribbean. I've got a team in Ireland. It's just so amazing and I'm going to make it my mission to make sure that I have like touched base, face to face, with every single person. I actually made the effort and the other day and drove like a six hour round trip to meet one person in my team because I think, think it's just so important, so I cannot wait to meet loads of you and guys.
Speaker 1:Like I said, if you are in the business and you've not been to one of these events yet, it will change the game for you massively. It was freaking amazing today. So, guys, um, I've spoke about it enough now. Um, I don't know like, you probably think what a sad cow for being on here on a freaking saturday night, but I'm just freaking buzzing, um, but, yeah, I'm gonna go live like maybe tomorrow or monday obviously back as normal on tuesday with jill as well. You're gonna see a lot of us. Um, our team starts our 90 day run on monday as well, which means we're gonna be loud and proud. You're gonna see our faces everywhere. I don't know if you've seen as well, guys, if any of you follow my podcast and podcast is back out I uploaded an episode like last night, I think it was. Um, you're gonna be seeing a lot of us.
Speaker 1:Oh, vicky, can't wait for Manchester next week. There's two events in our team next week in Manchester, same venue, funnily enough, thursday, an opportunity meeting. Whether you're in or not in the business, you are welcome to join our event on Thursday in Manchester and on Sunday. Um, I'm really, really excited to see my team in Manchester as well, going for afternoon tea together. Um, and yeah, we're going to get loads of good content and have a really, really good catch-up, because that's what fills me up the most the people who have met through this amazing business and the people who I'm yet to meet. So, are you having a lovely Saturday, guys? Whatever you're doing, I'm going to go now, so, like I said, I've got a two and a half hour journey home, but it's been absolutely amazing, so excited to see loads of you at the next event.
Speaker 1:If you've not got your ticket for convention, get it. If you got your ticket for the next event in your area, get it. Um, it's gonna be just so, so, so, so worth it. And if you have like, got any team, community, whatever, like literally just go for dinner, go for dinner together or go and do something, go for a hike, whatever. Do stuff together. It just will change your life. Let the people you meet through this business, like-minded individuals who want more for themselves. That's what it's all about. So, love you all, have an amazing night and I will speak to you soon.
